Weather
Majorca usually has about 300 days of sunshine a year. Its typical Mediterranean climate guarantees you will be able to wear your new summer clothes and sunglasses a whole lot while you are on holiday. As you might expect, the hot months in Majorca are the same as those in the United Kingdom. From June to September, the skies are blue and the sun is shining. In July and August you will find temperatures around 80 degrees. Nonetheless, if you decide you want to explore the mountains, you should take a sweater or light jacket. It can be a bit chilly up there. From September to November, the Spaniards often carry umbrellas. However, the temperature is generally a bit cooler in the winter, although it never gets lower than 9 degrees.
Attractions
After you leave the beach, you will enjoy Majorca‘s attractions and night life. Additionally, if you have children, you will find plenty of fun. You can ride a glass bottomed boat around the island, take a trip to Aqualand (a waterpark in Magaluf) where you and your kids will enjoy rides and wave pools. There is also a Marineland located in Costa d’en Blanes. Here you and your kids will enjoy being entertained by penguins, dolphins and sea lions. For a crowd of adults, the harbor at Santa Ponsa and the capital city Palma are excellent places to visit. Celebrities are rumored to frequent both areas, so it’s a great place to be chic. Majorca is just as lively in the evenings. Evening excursions are commonly offered by the hotels. Those who prefer to go solo can find many different bars, clubs and restaurants, such as Magaluf’s well known venue BCM. Be sure to look up what theme the nightlife is holding that night — you don’t want to come unprepared to a foam party!
